A safe research environment begins with hazard awareness and risk management. Prepare yourself by becoming a mindful and well-informed individual who can identify hazards and minimize risk in the lab. This list of training requirements and recommendations will get you started. Please contact the School Safety Office for any further questions regarding campus and division safety training.
Undergraduate Student Requirements

- Autoclave Training (in-person, once upon joining a lab)
EH&S Requirements
Reminders to complete these trainings are sent by the division via the Safety Training Notification System.
- UC Laboratory Safety Fundamentals (online, once every three years)
- Annual Laboratory Hazards Training (online, annual refresher)
